Assoc. Provides Training for Scuba Divers

A graduate of Boston College, Ashlee Bunt possesses nearly 25 years of experience in business, having worked in leadership roles, as a consultant, and as a business owner and entrepreneur. Outside of her career, Ashlee Bunt stays active by participating in a number of hobbies, including SCUBA diving. She earned certification through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, a world-renowned training organization for scuba divers.

Established in 1966, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) aims to deliver high-quality and consistent training programs to divers of all levels and across several concentrations, from safety to photography. Through the organization's continuing education, divers have the opportunity to reach the rating of Master Scuba Diver through a series of certifications and courses.

Divers aged 12 and older can pursue the elite status of a PADI Master Scuba Diver. The path begins with the Open Water Diver certification, followed by eight other certifications. A candidate must also log no less than 50 dives as part of the training. The Master Scuba Diver rating is a rare achievement that less than 2 percent of divers reach.
